Restore the mind, body and soul as we gather in the studio to create a space of stillness through the immersion of sound.
A sound bath is a meditative practice of calming the mind through the immersion of sound. Participants sit or lie comfortably on the floor and immerse into a soundscape of gongs, crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls and more, which will help to induce a relaxed, meditative state.
This brainwave down-shift from our awakened beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness), theta (meditative state) and even delta states, promotes well being and allows the body to heal itself, reducing stress, relieving tension, lifting our mood and easing anxiety. Sound baths are an incredible way to invoke healing and wellness.
This is not an asana practice; attendees will be in seated or prone meditation throughout the entire class. Due to COVID-19 state mandates, space is limited and masks will be required throughout the entirety of the event. Please feel free to bring any props that will help you relax such as blankets, bolsters and/or eye pillows.
