New Students

Welcome to The Yoga Tree!

So, you’re thinking about stepping onto the mat with us? Amazing. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or just new to us, we’re here to make sure you feel supported, seen, and maybe even a little transformed by the time you leave.

We get it—trying something new can feel a little intimidating. But at The Yoga Tree, there’s no such thing as “not flexible enough” or “not experienced enough.” You don’t need to be able to touch your toes, have the trendiest yoga gear, or a deep knowledge of Sanskrit. You just need you.

Come as you are.

What You Can Look Forward To

  • A Welcoming Community

No cliques, no judgment—just good, heart-centered people here to move, breathe, and feel better together.

  • Expert Guidance

Our teachers know their stuff. Whether you’re here to build strength, relieve stress, or simply carve out time for yourself, we’ll help you get what you need from your practice.

  • Yoga...And Then Some

Our diverse schedule offers a little bit of everything, from yoga to fitness, to sound healing and reiki —because self-care is a full-spectrum experience.

Your Questions, Answered.

  • For the best and most seamless booking experience, we recommend registering for classes via The Yoga Tree’s mobile app for iPhone and Android! You can also register for classes on our website.

  • If you’ve never been to the studio before, we’re happy to offer you our New Student Special - 2 Weeks Unlimited for $45

You will be presented with our New Student Special under the Promotions tab at checkout when you book your first class.

The New Student Special applies to all weekly studio + outdoor classes and expires 2 weeks from purchase.

  • Not sure where to start? Here’s a quick guide:

New to Yoga? Try out Slow Flow or our Yoga for Beginners series for an educational and alignment-focused introduction to the practice.

Want to Move & Sweat? Our Vinyasa Flow, Power Flow and Tone classes offer just the right mix of challenge and play.

Need to Unwind? Sink into relaxation with Yin, Restore, or Mellow.

Still unsure? Shoot us a message or chat with us in-studio—we’re happy to guide you!

  • We recommend comfortable clothing that is easy to move in! For tops, we recommend avoiding anything too loose or flowy as they can obstruct your view in some postures.

For Yin and Restorative classes, we recommend bringing layers as there is less movement involved and your body temperature will tend to drop.

    • A yoga mat (or rent one of ours for only $3!)

    • A water bottle (hydration is key) to fill at our complimentary tea + water station. You can also purchase Boxed Water at the front desk.

    • Comfortable clothes you can move in

    • An open mind and heart (trust us, it makes all the difference)

Don’t have a mat? No worries! We have our favorite grippy mats from Jade Yoga available for purchase. If you plan to practice consistently, a quality mat is a game-changer.

  • We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early for your first class so that we can give you a tour of the studio, help you with props and answer any questions you may have.

To give our team time to set the space, the studio door remains locked until 15 minutes before class begins for all classes.

  • There are metered parking lots + street parking available throughout downtown Haverhill, including a lot directly behind the studio and across the street at the Haverhill train station.

Metered parking is $1 per hour Monday through Saturday from 10am - 8pm, with complimentary parking on Sundays. You can pay at one of the many kiosks located throughout downtown or by downloading the Passport Parking app.

There is also a MVRTA parking garage on Granite Street, a short two block walk from the studio.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge in the evenings in downtown Haverhill, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, so we recommend giving yourself ample time to arrive.

  • Due to the limited spots in each class, we require a minimum of 8 hours notice for cancellations.

If you cancel your reservation at least 8 hours in advance, your class credit will be added back to your account automatically.

If you are using a single or multi-class pass and cancel with less than 8 hours notice, the credit will be deducted from your account.

If you have our New Student Special or Unlimited memberships and cancel with less than 8 hours notice, you will be charged a $10 cancellation fee.

  • Your first class is just a click away. Grab our New Student Special and let’s get you flowing.

We can’t wait to meet you on the mat!
