Teacher Spotlight: Kacy Harnedy
What made you want to teach yoga?
I took a Kripalu class and noticed the mental, spiritual and emotional shifts that occurred during and after the class and realized I want to do this for others.
How would you describe your classes/teaching style?
I teach a range of classes; vinyasa, hatha, yin, restorative, nidra, gentle but I think I melt into each one individually. I can bring the upbeat, positive energy to get into a beautiful flow or holding in hatha but I can also slow my pace, voice and breath in the cooling classes.
Top 5 songs to play in class:
Technicolor Beat
Light Me Up
Honey by Trace
Nectar Drop
Hummed Low Odesza
What's your favorite food?
I love fermented foods! Raw sauerkraut, pickled beets, etc. On EVERYTHING
What's your favorite asana (and why)?
I would say backbending of any kind. I tend to have a very tight back so it's a struggle but the release I gain after the breath is so beautiful.
What are your top 3 book recommendations for fellow yogis?
The Unthethered Soul
Heart of the Soul
The Four Agreements

Give us a fun fact about yourself:

What’s your life motto?
Our life goes where our energy flows
