Describe your teaching style in 5 words: Grounding, Exploratory, Fluid, Relaxing and Introspective
Dream retreat destination: Costa Rica! (I know that’s basic, but I haven’t been yet and I’ve heard incredible things.)
Favorite yoga pose: So many poses come to mind, but I’m so drawn to constructive rest. It provides the perfect balance of effort and ease, it’s a great place to practice pranayama (if you’re like me, and sitting up straight doesn’t come naturally), and it can be incorporated into any class style.
Best advice you’ve ever been given: “Turn your ‘What ifs’ backwards.” Instead of thinking, what if this goes wrong, consider, what if this goes right? It’s all about your mindset :)
One book you’d recommend to any yogi: Move Your DNA by Katy Bowman! It’s humorous, conversational and easy to read but the information is absolutely fascinating. It will completely change the way you move—for the better.
Three Songs To Flow To: “Beads on the Wind (Instrumental)” by The Human Experience, Theo Brama; “Hot Heavy Summer” by Ben Howard; “California” the Lagoons
