An Evening of Rest + Healing

Healthcare workers, we see you.

We appreciate you.

We are here to serve you.

Join Ally Vallieres and Lauren Aloisio for this special restorative evening, a small token of our appreciation. This 75 minute practice skillfully combines the restful nature of restorative yoga with the deeply healing effects of sound therapy. You’ll settle into a space of deep meditation and renewal on a cellular level. Leave feeling rejuvenated, at peace and, most importantly, appreciated.

This class is a free offering for healthcare workers. Spots are limited, RSVP using the button below and we will contact you to confirm your enrollment. ID badge or other proof of employment may be required.

What To Expect

Restorative yoga is a deeply relaxing practice which requires students to hold postures for 3-5 minutes at a time with the support of props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks, activating the parasympathetic nervous system and slowing the release of cortisol, the stress hormone. Benefits include: released muscular tension, improved mobility + flexibility, a sense of inner peace + increased mindfulness, balance within the nervous system, and greater ease in falling (and staying) asleep at night.

Sound therapy, sound healing or sound meditation is the meditative practice of calming the body and mind through the immersion sound. Participants sit or lay comfortably and allow the sounds to simply wash over them. The sounds played help induce brain entrainment where brain waves downshift into more meditative states. This helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system which helps us relax. Participants often report feeling weightless and an overall sense of peace upon waking.
